Moog in East Aurora, New York is looking for a Financial Analyst who will support the Commercial Aftermarket business through financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and business insights that enable informed decision-making.To be considered for the Financial Analyst role, here's typically what you will need to bring with you:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), auditing, or a related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data and identify meaningful insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present financial information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and financial acumen.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build effective working relationships.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools preferred.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:- Support the Commercial Aftermarket business by providing financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations that help drive business performance.
- Partner with functional teams to understand business drivers, operational performance, and financial results.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including journal entry preparation, account analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data to prepare monthly and quarterly management reports.
- Perform variance analysis against prior periods, forecasts, plans, and budgets, identifying key drivers and trends.
- Support the forecasting and budgeting processes through analysis, financial modeling, and scenario evaluation.
- Maintain and enhance standard reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve visibility into business performance.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Support ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, business cases, and profitability assessments.
- Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes, data quality, and financial controls.
- Prepare presentations and summaries that clearly communicate financial results, trends, risks, and opportunities to management.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline reporting, eliminate manual processes, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis.
Salary Range Transparency:Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$95,000.00 Annually
