Full Job Description
Summary of Role:

The Financial Analyst supports Broadview Federal Credit Union's Corporate Finance department by performing financial analysis, budgeting support, forecasting activities, and monthly reporting. This role provides analytical insights used by management to understand financial performance, evaluate trends, and support informed decision making across the organization.

This position works collaboratively with ALM, P&L, and internal business partners to maintain accurate financial information, enhance reporting processes, and contribute to enterprise financial planning. This position also supports regulatory reporting and participates in ad hoc financial projects.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Manage preparation and review of month-end financial analyses, including variance explanations and trend diagnostics.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting used by senior leadership and internal departments.
  • Analyze financial ratios, trends, and key operational metrics to identify performance drivers.
  • Support the development of performance dashboards and reporting packages.


Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Assist with ongoing forecasting of loan volume assumptions for consumer, commercial, and mortgage lending areas.
  • Support preparation of annual budget and assist SMEs with reviewing monthly loan volume forecasts.
  • Validate data inputs and work with departments to ensure accuracy of forecast assumptions.
  • Work closely with the CECL team to develop, validate, and report delinquency and charge-off forecasts and integrating model outputs.


ALM & Scenario Support
  • Work with ALM staff to ensure completeness and accuracy of data feeds and financial assumptions.


Peer, Market & Product Analytics
  • Assist in maintaining peer financial analysis models and tools.
  • Support benchmarking efforts to compare Broadview's performance with peer credit unions and financial institutions.


Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
  • Assist with preparation and review of components of the NCUA 5300 Call Report and credit related reporting.
  • Support audit requests and provide financial data for regulatory examinations as needed.


Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to enhance financial understanding and support strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Participate in cross department projects requiring financial analysis, modeling, or data validation.


Process & Reporting Improvements
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting and forecasting processes, including automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow departmental procedures related to reporting and analytics.


Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or related financial roles.
  • Working knowledge of financial statements, forecasting principles, and financial modeling.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, and shift direction as needed.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to navigate core data processing and general ledger systems.
Preferred Technical Qualifications
  • Experience with PowerPoint for financial presentations.
  • Experience using Power Query for data transformation and reporting automation.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PBCS or other enterprise planning tools.
  • Experience with ALM simulation or financial modeling software.
  • Knowledge of CAMEL ratios and GAAP principles specific to the financial services industry.
  • Experienced in leveraging generative AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, LLMs) to enhance processes and decision-making.


Compensation: $72,182-$88,423, plus a competitive benefits package
