Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to work closely alongside our CEO and ultimately become the lead advisor for a number of established relationships, ensuring continuity of service and the same high level of care clients have come to expect. This is not a support advisor position. You are someone who can confidently lead planning discussions, provide strategic advice, and become a trusted resource for clients and their families. You are passionate about comprehensive financial planning and understand that exceptional wealth management extends far beyond investment management. You will help clients navigate retirement transitions, tax planning opportunities, estate and legacy considerations, charitable giving strategies, and the many financial decisions that arise throughout life. You will prepare for and lead client meetings, collaborate with internal team members on planning recommendations, coordinate implementation, and ensure clients receive proactive and consistent communication throughout the year. You will also contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our planning process and help identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through thoughtful advice and exceptional service.

Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for someone who embodies the values that have defined us for decades. You are humble, relationship-oriented, and genuinely enjoy helping others. You understand that trust is earned through competence, responsiveness, and follow-through. You can simplify complex topics, communicate with confidence, and build meaningful relationships with clients from all walks of life. You bring sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to navigate sophisticated planning situations while maintaining a calm and approachable demeanor.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the CEO to thoughtfully transition client relationships over time, becoming the primary point of contact
  • Serve as the primary advisor for a group of established client relationships, ensuring clients continue to receive consistent, high-quality advice and service
  • Lead client meetings and ongoing planning conversations, helping clients make informed decisions around retirement, investments, taxes, estate planning, giving strategies, and more
  • Coordinate financial plan development, including initial financial plan data entry, development and working with advisory team to develop recommendations; continuous monitoring of plan and any necessary changes
  • Own the financial planning process, including initial plan data entry, development of recommendations, and ongoing monitoring and updates as client circumstances change
  • Be the person clients turn to for clarity, translating complex financial topics into straightforward, actionable guidance
  • Keep planning work moving forward between meetings by coordinating with internal team members on analysis, implementation, and follow-up items
  • Proactively identify planning opportunities and risks, ensuring clients are well-positioned through life and market changes
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness and follow-through so clients always feel informed, supported, and taken care of
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-based advisory model and support ongoing refinement of planning processes and client experience delivery
  • Work as part of a close-knit advisory team where collaboration, preparation, and shared accountability are expected
  • Other special projects to support firm-wide process improvement and capabilities

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance, financial planning, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading client relationships in a financial planning or wealth management capacity
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, including meaningful experience within a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) or fee-only wealth management environment
  • Series 65 or equivalent required
  • CFP designation required
  • Familiarity with Advyzon, Right Capital, Holistiplan, Schwab preferred, and/or other industry-specific platforms
  • Strong listening and relationship-management skills, emotional intelligence, and effective verbal and written communication are essential for client interactions
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex client information, planning processes, and documentation that directly impacts both clients and advisors
  • Strong client service mindset with the ability to respond quickly, anticipate needs, and ensure a consistently high-quality client experience
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing deadlines in a structured, fast-paced, and detail-intensive environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong personal accountability, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based environment
  • Genuine interest in financial planning tools, technology, and staying current with industry trends
  • Strong work ethic with a consistent focus on execution, follow-through, and delivering high-quality work under deadlines
  • Uncompromising integrity and sound judgment in handling confidential client and firm information
