Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Leadership experience managing accounting teams in a high-volume environment
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ERP experience (Oracle preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to BI tools a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high standard of accuracy
• Process improvement or automation project experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day claims accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial transaction recording
• Oversee month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal policies, ensuring strong accounting controls
• Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
• Support implementation of new tools, technologies and automation to improve efficiency and reduce expense
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance and technology teams
• Set team goals, coach and develop staff and ensure performance metrics are met
• Prepare and review reporting to support audits, business partners and executive leadership
• Stay current with industry trends, financial regulations and best practices
