This involves consolidating multiple entities into a single statement, which is audited by the Office of the Auditor General. Additionally, the Financial Accountant reviews transactions for compliance with accounting standards and prepares T4/T4A forms for non-payroll-related transactions, such as service contracts and honoraria. This role also entails reviewing and reconciling Tangible Capital Assets (TCA) and Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO) records within the fixed assets module and the general ledger, as well as supporting the ongoing use and enhancement of financial reporting systems and tools, including CaseWare.
