POSITION OVERVIEW:

Guardian is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Finance & Treasury Manager to lead the organization's treasury and corporate finance activities. This role is responsible for cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, lender reporting, banking operations, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong treasury expertise with advanced financial modeling and reporting capabilities to support executive decision-making and the company's strategic growth objectives.

This position will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights, reporting automation solutions, and technology-enabled analytics to improve financial visibility and operational performance across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Treasury Management & Liquidity Planning
  • Own and maintain the company's rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, ensuring accurate visibility into liquidity requirements and cash positioning.
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly liquidity management activities to optimize cash utilization and working capital.
  • Monitor cash balances, borrowing availability, and funding requirements across all banking relationships.
  • Develop and implement treasury best practices, controls, and processes to enhance cash management efficiency.

Asset-Based Lending (ABL) Administration
  • Prepare and submit ABL borrowing base certificates and supporting documentation.
  • Calculate and monitor lender covenant compliance and financial performance metrics.
  • Manage borrowing requests, draws, repayments, and paydowns in accordance with lending agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external lenders regarding reporting requirements and financial performance.

Banking & Lender Relations
  • Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions.
  • Oversee all treasury and banking operations, including account administration, wire transfers, cash concentration structures, and banking services.
  • Evaluate banking products and services to improve operational efficiency and optimize costs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
  • Lead the annual budgeting process across the organization.
  • Coordinate quarterly forecasting cycles and provide variance analysis against budget and prior forecasts.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop financial assumptions, operating plans, and performance targets.
  • Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial performance and cash flow.

Financial Reporting & Executive Communications
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership, lenders, and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop clear and concise management reports highlighting key business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives through financial modeling and scenario analysis.

Business Intelligence & Financial Analytics
  • Lead efforts to automate financial reporting and improve data accessibility across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that deliver actionable business insights.
  • Support the development and enhancement of Microsoft Fabric-enabled financial reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Partner with business and IT teams to improve data governance, reporting accuracy, and analytical capabilities.

FP&A Systems & Process Improvement
  • Support the evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of potential FP&A software solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reporting efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and financial planning processes.
  • Recommend technology solutions and process enhancements that increase scalability and support business growth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, CTP, or similar professional certification preferred.

Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, treasury, FP&A, banking, or related financial management roles.
  • Experience managing cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with asset-based lending facilities, borrowing base reporting, and covenant compliance.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and board-level reporting.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, energy, chemical, or distribution industry experience preferred.

Technical Skills
  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, business intelligence architecture, and financial data modeling.
