Finance Operations Manager - Atlanta, GA

Global manufacturing company located in Tucker, GA, is looking for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join their team. The Finance Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing various financial aspects of the operations, including Cost Accounting, Inventory Control, SOX and GAAP compliance, and strategic operational and materials savings initiatives for North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Accounting: Manage and enhance the cost accounting process to ensure accurate product costing, cost allocation, and analysis of variances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost structures.
  • Inventory Control: Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and reconciliations, to optimize inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs.
  • SOX and GAAP Compliance: Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial operations and reporting.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency in materials usage and production processes.
  • ERP System Expertise: Utilize SAP system to manage financial data, generate reports, and support decision-making processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing, optimize payment terms, and ensure timely deliveries.
