Full Job Description

The Financial Operations Center of Excellence (CoE) Associate will play a key role in supporting and influencing the operational and financial performance of Digital Operations. This individual will partner closely with the FinOps CoE Senior Manager, Operations Business Partners (OBPs), and the Operations Leader to deliver financial insights, operational reporting, process improvements, and actionable recommendations that drive informed decision-making — while helping guide and develop the Finance Operations Analysts.


Job Description

  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes through financial analysis, modeling, and the maintenance and enhancement of planning tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor expense categories and internal budgets to ensure alignment with approved spending plans and financial targets.
  • Support month-end close activities by providing accurate, timely financial information and actionable insights to Operations Business Partners and leadership teams.
  • Own the Digital Operations financial management cadence, including the development and delivery of reporting, presentations, analyses, and insights for Digital and Enterprise leadership teams.
  • Support and review financial integrity activities, including EAC/ETC reviews, reserves and accruals, revenue, contract compliance, and related controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data and key business metrics.
  • Support sales analytics through standard reporting, predictive analysis, sales credit reporting, and commission tracking.
  • Review financial and operational reports with Digital Operations leadership and Operations Business Partners; develop recommendations and drive follow-up actions to support business objectives.
  • Help maintain a trusted source of truth for Digital Operations reporting by supporting data quality, stewardship, governance, and reporting consistency across the organization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and support automation, AI, and process improvement opportunities that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of team processes, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships across the organization, leveraging collaboration and influence to align priorities, resolve challenges, and drive operational and financial outcomes.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve operational procedures, playbooks, job aids, and process documentation to enhance consistency, scalability, knowledge sharing, and operational effectiveness across Digital Operations.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and operational support as needed.
  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert (SME) for Finance Operations Analysts by providing guidance, sharing best practices, reviewing work product, and contributing to the team's overall success and development.


Knowledge, Skill, And Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 2-5 years of finance, operations, or related business experience.
  • Experience within the consulting or professional services industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and key performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt processes and tools to evolving business requirements.
  • Strong client service orientation with the ability to proactively partner with leadership to identify and address business challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, playbooks, job aids, and other knowledge management resources.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint; familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), including the ability to develop, maintain, and interpret dashboards and reports.
  • Experience with Workday, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Salesforce is preferred.
  • Experience working with data governance, data stewardship, and reporting quality practices to ensure the accuracy and consistency of operational and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled technologies and productivity tools, with the ability to leverage them to enhance reporting, analysis, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $75,000 - $100,000.  The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy.  Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $86,250 - $115,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
