Job Description Summary

Position Objective:

The Finance Manager is both a strategic business partner with the field, working predominantly with the VP of Operations for their respective business unit(s), and a leader responsible for managing, coaching, and a developing a team of Financial Analysts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Primary business partner for Operational Vice Presidents
  • Lead a team of Financial Analysts and Sr. Financial Analysts
  • Address finance-related inquiries and provide succinct, actionable analyses in a timely manner
  • Review and approve month-end journal entries
  • Lead the monthly, multi-scenario, market-level forecasting process for the designated business unit
  • Support the annual bottom-up budget process
  • Establish and periodically audit quarterly and annual field incentive compensation calculations
  • Execute various ad hoc requests, which includes but is not limited to:
    • New location (Greenfield) budgets
    • Rental fleet mix impact analyses
    • New facility impact analyses
    • Leasehold impact analyses


Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Required years of related prior work experience: 5+ years (has held roles of increasing responsibility)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, or transferrable work experience
  • Robust experience with enterprise reporting systems (Oracle/Hyperion, IBM Cognos, etc.)
  • Strong aptitude for leveraging enterprise reporting systems to build financial models
  • Ability to demonstrate prior leadership, teamwork, and communication experience
  • Desire and ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of Financial Analysts
  • Comfortable establishing expectations and holding people accountable
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to review work done by others
  • Willing and able to travel periodically


Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. Base Pay Range: $98,573.00 - 135,537.60
