Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As Finance Manager for Open Market Projects, Digitalization, and Emerging Markets in Latin America, you will play a critical leadership role in driving profitable growth and financial performance across the region. You will provide commercial and financial leadership for high-value open-market projects, major gas turbine modernization and upgrade programs, complex service opportunities, and emerging business activities while partnering closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Legal, and Operations. In addition, you will serve as the Regional Finance Digitalization Lead, driving process transformation, automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, forecasting, and decision-making across the Finance organization. This role requires a strategic finance leader who can influence senior stakeholders, navigate complex commercial environments, mitigate risk, optimize cash flow, and enable scalable and sustainable growth across an increasingly diverse project and services portfolio.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead the commercial and financial management of large-scale open-market projects, gas turbine modernization programs, upgrades, and complex service opportunities across Latin America, driving profitability, cash flow, margin protection, and overall financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with Project Management, Sales, Engineering, Legal, Operations, and other stakeholders to optimize commercial outcomes, including contract reviews, change-order negotiations, claims management, cost-to-complete assessments, margin analysis, forecasting, and identification and mitigation of commercial and financial risks.
  • Ensure strong financial governance and transparency across the project portfolio by providing accurate forecasts, financial reporting, project performance analysis, and actionable recommendations while protecting Siemens Energy's contractual and commercial position and identifying opportunities to improve project execution and profitability.
  • Serve as the Latin America Finance Digitalization Lead, driving the adoption of digital finance solutions, automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and process transformation initiatives. Partner with Global Finance, Digital Finance, and regional stakeholders to reduce manual activities, improve data quality, increase forecasting accuracy, and enhance business transparency and decision-making.
  • Provide financial leadership for emerging market and strategic business opportunities, including Venezuela and other growth markets across Latin America. Evaluate commercial structures, business models, financial risks, and investment opportunities; support bid reviews, commercial negotiations, business approvals, and project execution planning while ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted finance business partner and advisor to regional leadership, providing strategic insights to support investment decisions, portfolio management, growth initiatives, and risk mitigation. Mentor and develop project finance and commercial talent while promoting accountability, financial transparency, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is required; MBA, Master's degree, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Commercial Project Management, Project Controlling, or financial leadership roles, with demonstrated success supporting complex industrial, infrastructure, energy, power generation, or service businesses.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, business analysis, project accounting, contract management, claims, change orders, cost-to-complete analysis, margin management, cash flow, risk management, internal controls, and financial governance; experience supporting large modernization, upgrade, EPC, or Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) projects is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders across multiple geographies, balance growth opportunities with commercial and financial risk, and effectively navigate complex and ambiguous business environments; experience supporting emerging markets is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and enterprise financial systems, with experience using Power BI, advanced analytics, automation tools, AI solutions, or digital finance applications preferred. Demonstrated experience leading business transformation, digitalization, process automation, or continuous improvement initiatives is highly valued.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business judgment, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills; demonstrated ability to drive change, mentor and develop talent, establish accountability, and deliver results across complex regional organizations.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
