Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the accounting department.
  • Maintain and update accounting journals, ledgers, and records of financial transactions.
  • Manage month-end entries and prepare financial reports and allocations.
  • Assist with annual audits for 401K and Work Comp.
  • Evaluate current accounting practices and suggest improvements.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Research and resolve financial issues independently.
  • Foster staff development through performance management and training.

FinanceManager to join our incredible team! This is more than just a job-it's a chance to be part of a close-knit, compassionate team that's committed to providing top-notch cancer care. This position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department functions and staff with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting.

What will you do?
  • Provides direction and leadership to the accounting department.
  • Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
  • Manage general ledger review and prepare month end entries, allocation and financial reports.
  • Assists with annual audits. (401K & Work Comp).
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
  • Researches issues and concerns with minimal supervision.
  • Communicates clearly and collaboratively with employees, patients and vendors providing excellent customer service.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.

Requirements

  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
