Responsibilities

Full Job Description
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, weekly and monthly forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and establishing and maintaining department policies, procedures, and internal controls. In addition, the Finance Manager works on special projects such as year-end audits, tax issues, annual planning, budgeting, and other ad-hoc requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monthly Financial Close process - reporting preliminary and final financial results, reconciling intercompany balances with other divisions, variance analysis and guidance to division and corporate office
  • Month End Journal Entries - payroll journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
  • Maintain all financial records in accordance with GAAP and IFRS
  • Forecast cash on a weekly basis
  • Complete a full financial forecast on a monthly basis
  • Manage all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Manage a fixed asset register and all accompanying depreciation
  • Monitor inventory on a weekly basis
  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis utilizing the payroll system
  • Complete correspondences regarding payroll information for unemployment, IRS, Dept. of Labor, etc.
  • Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Work with General Manager on monthly Business Reviews to be presented to corporate
  • Prepare annual budget and annual five-year strategic plan
  1. Significant internal interaction with operating accounting departments and corporate management
  2. Primary contact with external auditors for two annual financial audits and one workers comp audit
  3. Responsible for developing enhancements to the corporate reporting functions and functionality
  4. Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, data, and enhance company value
  5. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
  6. Other responsibilities as assigned
