Full Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically sharp FP&A Analyst to join a lean, high-impact finance team at a critical inflection point for the company. You will serve as a core contributor to Orbit Fab's current and future capital raises and ongoing financial operations - maintaining the data room, coordinating investor briefings, owning the financial model, and producing the forecasts and budget analyses that inform executive decision-making.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role. You will work closely with the CEO, COO, General Counsel, and other senior leaders and gain direct exposure to the full arc of a venture-backed deep-tech company raising institutional capital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Support
• Own and maintain the investor facing data rooms - organizing, updating, and auditing all materials to always ensure investor-ready accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate investor briefings and diligence meetings, including scheduling, preparation of briefing books, and follow-up materials
• Track investor pipeline and diligence status in coordination with the CEO, COO, and General Counsel; manage follow-up requests and information flows
• Prepare and update investor-facing financial summaries, Q&A documents, and scenario analyses as needed throughout the fundraising process

Financial Modeling & Forecasting
• Own the master financial model - maintaining accuracy, updating assumptions, and evolving the model as business conditions and strategic scenarios change
• [Lead/Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long range planning processes]
• Produce regular financial reporting for leadership, synthesizing actuals vs. plan and surfacing key variances and actionable recommendations
• Build and maintain scenario analyses to support capital planning and investor presentations
• Develop forward-looking cash flow models to support burn rate management and runway planning

Board of Directors Support and Reporting
• Prepare and maintain financial materials for Board of Directors meetings, including quarterly financial packages, KPI dashboards, and scenario analyses
• Coordinate with the CEO, COO, and General Counsel to ensure Board materials are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule
• Maintain Board-ready versions of the financial model and forecast briefs, ensuring consistency between investor-facing and Board-facing materials

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 3-6 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or a similar analytical finance role
• Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, concise executive-level narratives and visualizations[MH1]
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; experience building and maintaining multi-tab, driver-based financial models from scratch
• Demonstrated experience supporting fundraising, board reporting, or investor relations in a startup or high-growth environment
• Strong understanding of three-statement financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and unit economics
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy - especially in investor-facing materials
• Proactive, self-directed work style; comfortable operating with limited oversight in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Preferred
• MBA or graduate degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• Prior experience at a venture-backed aerospace, defense, or deep-tech company
• Familiarity with government contracting financial structures (OTAs, cost-plus, CPFF) and their modeling implications
• Experience with data room platforms (Datasite, Intralinks, Carta, or similar) and investor CRM/pipeline tools
• Proficiency with financial planning tools (Mosaic, Pigment, Adaptive Insights, or similar)
• CFA, CPA, or FP&A certification (FPAC) a plus

WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive base salary and equity commensurate with experience
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
• Discretionary time off
• The opportunity to work on one of the most consequential infrastructure challenges in the new space economy - at a company with hardware already space-qualified and government customers already engaged
