The OpportunityWe are looking for a Finance Manager who builds great teams, brings operational rigor, and earns a seat at the leadership table. As Finance Manager, you will lead our accounting team day-to-day and serve as a key operational partner to the CFO. You will shape the people, processes, and systems that underpin every financial decision we make - and hold the team to a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and discipline.
Core ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop members of the accounting team
- Set clear roles, expectations, and performance standards
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and development conversations
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention as the team grows
Process & Operational Excellence
- Design and document scalable workflows for month-end close, AR, AP, payroll, reconciliation, and reporting
- Establish standard operating procedures, checklists, and review controls
- Maintain a consistent close calendar with clear deadlines and ownership
- Develop dashboards and KPIs that give leadership timely visibility into financial operations
- Partner with IT and operations to ensure finance systems support evolving business needs
Financial Operations Oversight
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly and annual close
- Review financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting packages
- Oversee AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Monitor financial controls and report surface risks and compliance concerns to the CFO
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis in partnership with the CFO
- Support audit readiness, tax filings, and compliance obligations
Strategic Partnership
- Serve as a key operational partner to the CFO and executive leadership
- Provide recommendations on team structure, staffing, tools, and systems
- Lead or support special projects including system implementations and ERP improvements
- Represent the finance organization in cross-functional initiatives
Required Qualifications- 7 or more years of progressive finance or accounting experience
- 3 or more years of direct people management experience leading teams of three or more
- Demonstrated track record of building structure, processes, and accountability within a finance or accounting function
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and standard accounting cycles
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Excellent communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar) and the Microsoft 365 suite
Preferred Qualifications- CPA, MBA, or relevant graduate certification
- Experience leading finance teams in a multi-entity or operationally complex environment
- Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
- Experience implementing, optimizing, or transitioning ERP and accounting systems
- Background in companies experiencing growth or significant operational change
