Full Job Description
Hiring Requirements:
As Commercial Finance Manager this individual will lead a team of 3 associates and play a key role in new product Innovations, go to market strategies, and SG&A management.

New product launches impact all facets of the business including sales, field sales, marketing, plant costing, and logistics, therefore, this role requires a self starter to develop a strong understanding of how we operate and apply that knowledge to ensure accurate analysis and successful product executions.This role will also coordinate closely with Field Sales leaders on various go to market projects, as well as other cross functional leaders on SG&A forecast and analysis.Strong communication and analytical skills will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial responsibility for innovations and go to market strategies, and alignment to strategic priorities.
  • Support business cases for various other commercial initiatives, including marketing investments, to ensure positive ROI.
  • Track performance of key initiatives and provide recommendations to improve
  • Partner with Marketing and other SG&A functions to support financial planning and decision making, including respectfully challenging business partners when necessary
  • Partner with Marketing and other Administrative function to manage budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting, and variance analysis on spend, including proper financial governance such as accruals, cost classification, budget ownership, and internal controls.
  • Drive process improvements to improve forecast accuracy, reporting efficiency, and transparency.
  • Present project financials and forecasts to Senior Leaders, respectively challenge when necessary
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 direct reports, supporting their growth, performance, and career progression.
  • Other Ad-hoc financial / business projects and reporting as required
Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • CPA, MBA, or equivalent designation considered an asset.
  • Experience in Commercial Finance and / or consumer packaged goods considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L management, and financial controls.
  • Ability to communicate and present clearly with a variety of audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-paced work environment
  • Must be a proactive team player who can work with limited supervision
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with Power BI, SAP, Oracle, Essbase, or similar tools is an asset.
The annual salary range for applicants is: $90,000 - $135,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors.
