Job Title: Finance ManagerJob Description
The Finance Manager oversees all finance and accounting operations, providing strategic leadership in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting. This role establishes and maintains robust financial controls, ensures compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements, and serves as a key partner to executive leadership and external stakeholders. The Finance Manager plays a critical role in driving process improvements, supporting audits, and enabling informed decision-making through accurate and timely financial information.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for finance and accounting.
  • Assist executive leadership with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and governance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen financial reporting.
  • Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
  • Ensure all financial reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, and manage cost management processes for financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and all applicable accounting regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating costs and results, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, the chart of accounts, and accounting control systems.
  • Oversee accounting transactions and ensure proper documentation of all financial activities.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare annual financial reports, including revenue, expense, transfer, and financial forecast analyses.
  • Coordinate month-end close activities and prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
  • Review, allocate, and reconcile costs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate preparation and filing of tax returns and year-end financial reporting.
  • Work closely with external accountants, auditors, and other business partners to support financial and compliance activities.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting Department and provide supervisory leadership to the team.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison for legislative, regulatory, and compliance-related matters.
  • Manage depreciation of capital and fixed assets, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
  • Lead the consolidation of financial statements and support variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of finance and accounting experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience in a finance or accounting function.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, including intensive familiarity with related accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal financial controls.
  • Hands-on experience with financial analysis, forecasting (rolling, monthly, quarterly, and up to one year out), and audit preparation.
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, with responsibility for depreciation of assets.
  • Experience consolidating financial statements and supporting month-end consolidation and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables and balance sheet analysis.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks 2023.
  • Strong skills in general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Experience with month-end close processes, capital equipment accounting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort with being hands-on and wearing multiple hats in a growing organization.
  • Ability to maintain professional communication and provide clear explanations for employment history and transitions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in Korean is preferred.
  • Experience working with external auditors, accountants, and business partners.
  • Familiarity with tax return preparation and year-end financial reporting processes.
  • Experience developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Track record of identifying process improvements and enhancing efficiency in finance operations.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite position based in a brand-new, modern office in Mesa, AZ. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Finance Manager will have a private office within the corporate space and will work closely with HR and other leadership functions.
