JOB DESCRIPTION

How you’ll contribute
A Finance Director who excels in this role:

  • Oversees all financial operations for two inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, including budget planning, financial reporting, audit management, and initiatives that drive departmental efficiency and support organizational goals.
  • Oversees all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards that align with legal, ethical, clinical, and administrative requirements.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care support services, IT systems, service levels, and complaint resolution.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets to ensure compliance with financial objectives.
  • Coordinates and leads internal and external audits.
  • Creates and fosters a professional environment that supports employee engagement, growth, and development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

What we’re looking for 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted.

 

Skills

  • Requires strong leadership in healthcare financial management, staffing, and compliance.
  • Must be able to influence, negotiate, and communicate across departments and leadership levels.
  • Business Mathematics: Proficient in calculations involving fractions, percentages, rates, and interpreting graphs.
  • Computer Skills: Moderate proficiency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, and business software.
  • Communication: Capable of handling complex communication and interacting with senior leadership.
