About The Role As the Finance BP at ByteDance and a member of the Global Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving the company's continued success across the global markets. This position is based in our San Jose office. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to key global monetization businesses, providing valuable insights to support business decision-making. You'll be an integral part of the finance team, collaborating closely with other finance business partners and cross-functional teams across the organization. - Lead the financial planning process for global monetization products: develop both short-term and long-term budget plans, monitor performance against budget, provide trend analysis to business leaders, and update financial forecasts on a regular basis. - Deliver strategic financial insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership to support key business decisions. - Prepare and communicate clear, data-driven financial reports to senior management and other key stakeholders across the region. - Analyze regional financial performance and propose improvement initiatives to both headquarters and regional leadership. - Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial strategies are aligned with overall company objectives and market-specific goals. - Streamline and optimize daily financial processes to enhance operational efficiency. - Identify and incorporate best practices from regional teams into standard operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s) - 5+ years of Finance BP or equivalent work experience in online advertising, content, media, or tech industry. - Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business management, or a related field. - Hard skills: data processing, financial modeling, and financial analysis. - Soft skills: great communication skills, strong logical reasoning, and critical thinking. - Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies. - High levels of written and oral fluency in Mandarin are required for this role. This is essential as the collaboration with China-based stakeholders is necessary to ensure local financial strategy aligns seamlessly with Group objectives, manage core financial systems, and safeguard capital allocation through cross-border contract review. Preferred Qualification(s) - Experienced in working across multiple locations and time zones within global organizations. - Proven experience in complex financial planning and analysis, with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end financial processes and full P&L management, is strongly preferred. - Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA are highly desirable. - Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $108000 - $220400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
