This position is for a program finance manager for the Exploration mission segment in the Commercial Civil Space Line of Business. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

- Driving business results for the Exploration portfolio of programs by integrating data from various teams and managing short and long-range financial / program performance.
- Direct Interface to the Customer Financial counterparts
- Provide active direction and leadership to a team of finance professionals through the application of Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
- Provide oversight and ensure compliance of all EVMS-related processes and command media with understanding of PPMd-01 and PPMd-02 implementation.
- Supporting new business pursuits in development of executable and competitive proposals.
- Provide support & guidance to CAMs and PMs on proper financial management and decision making.
- Provide sound guidance to program finance leadership concerning business and financial processes and issues.
- Assess risks and opportunities that affect business portfolio/program performance and help develop associated action plans in coordination with program management.

Standard Job Description:
Works in the Finance and Business Operations organization supporting program/product areas. Responsible for driving business results for a major program or portfolio of programs by integrating data from various teams including program finance, master planning, estimating, contracts, engineering, supply chain and other functions. Manages short and long-range financial and program performance internally and externally. Internal financial management includes contract orders, sales, profit, cash, capital expenditures and overhead costs. External management involves earned value management, program budget baselines and program performance reporting including estimates at completion. Assess issues, risks and opportunities that affect business portfolio/program performance and help develop associated action plans in coordination with program management. Interface and partner with external customers and internal stakeholders. Supports new business pursuits in development of executable and competitive proposals. Plays a key role in strategic business case development and analysis to support financial and operational decisions such as business integrations, enterprise investments, financial system/application strategies and other critical activities. (for the Leader only description) Responsible for managing a team of finance professionals and coordinating employee recruitment, talent development, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Basic Qualifications

- Previous experience with proposals or anything finance related

- Earned Value Management (EVM) or enterprise-level cost management tools experience or anything else related

- High analytical ability and degree of accuracy with numerical data

- Ability to effectively communicate and interface with various functional organizations and levels of leadership

- Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment under minimal supervision

Desired Skills

- Experience working with multiple contract types (Cost Plus, Fixed Price, T&M, etc)

- Possess an understanding of contractual documents and requirements, and proactively research and provide recommended solutions to issues

- Proven leadership in leading, motivating and mentoring a diverse team of Program Finance professionals in a dynamic program environment

- Prior LM Space experience

- General understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis

- Experience putting together successful business cases

- Experience in commercial and international contracts

- 8+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
