This role functions as a critical role supporting FP&A, Enterprise Analytics and our broader Internal Firm Services group by developing scalable reporting solutions, helping automate data-intensive business processes, and transforming data into actionable insights for our business users. This role will also help identify practical opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics capabilities to improve reporting efficiency, enhance insight generation, and support decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with FP&A leadership and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive and actionable data and reporting solutions.
Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and solution design discussions.
Train and educate the broader Financial Team on new reports and how to effectively self-serve.
Serve as SME on reporting and data questions for internal stakeholders, including training and support.
Partner with the Firms Enterprise Analytics team to understand latest changes to the Firms broader Data Platform, semantic models and capabilities.
Financial & Operational Analytics
Support FP&A team activities by creating centralized and standardized reports/processes for forecasting, budgeting and ad-hoc reporting.
Analyze large datasets and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Perform ad hoc analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational improvements.
Automation & Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to standardize, centralize and automate manual reporting and business processes for key stakeholders via Power BI, Power Automate, Python, Excel (Power Query) and other related technologies.
Evaluate and apply AI-enabled automation opportunities, where appropriate, to reduce manual effort, improve data quality checks, accelerate recurring reporting processes, and support more efficient analysis.
Streamline recurring reporting activities and improve data refresh processes.
Partner with Data Engineering and IT teams to improve data accessibility and quality.
Business Intelligence, Reporting & Data Modeling
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models supporting Finance, Operations, Workforce Planning, and Executive Leadership.
Maintain reporting standards, documentation, and governance practices.
Work with SQL-based data sources, data warehouses, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and other enterprise platforms.
Serve as a key contributor to the firms Pigment planning platform, including model design, development, maintenance, testing, and enhancement of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytical solutions; act as secondary platform administrator, behind the primary system administrator.
Continuous Innovation
Help establish and promote analytics best practices across the organization.
Continuous improvement mentality with curiosity towards emerging technologies that can improve reporting efficiency and business insights.
Stay current on advances in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, AI-powered analytics, automation tools, and data visualization best practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies that can improve reporting efficiency and business insights.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, FP&A Analytics, Data Analytics, or Reporting
Minimum 3 years experience developing scalable, automated reporting
Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Data Tools, including Excel, Power Query, DAX
Working knowledge and understanding of Financial Statements and Financial Processes
Prior experience with Power Automate, SQL, Python
Prior experience working with large financial and operational data sets and transforming them into ongoing reports
Ability to work autonomously driving initiatives to completion with limited oversight
Team focused delivery mindset with strong attention to detail
Experience supporting Finance, Operations, Professional Services, or Consulting organizations in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Business Intelligence, Analytics, FP&A Analytics, Data Analytics, or Related field
Proven experience applying AI and/or machine learning-enabled capabilities to reporting, forecasting, anomaly detection, workflow automation, or insight generation
Prior team leadership experience
Prior experience performing these functions at a Professional Services Firm
Experience with Pigment Financial Planning software
Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $125,600 - $147,800. For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $138,200 - $162,600. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $144,500 - $170,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
