Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

The Finance/Budget Manager delivers financial reports and analysis to support UCF Facilities and Business Operations strategic goals. This role provides exceptional customer service by providing leadership with data-based actionable insights. It also fosters a culture of continuous improvement by developing a team of analysts and enhancing business processes.

Responsibilities:

Financial Operations
  • Lead financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis for the UCF IT budget (~$90M+), providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage daily budget and accounting operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.


Leadership & Strategy
  • Partner with the CIO and UCF IT leadership to deliver data-driven analysis and financial recommendations aligned with their priorities.
  • Serve as a leader to a team of analysts, including hiring, coaching, developing, and recognizing staff.


Operational Excellence
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes.
  • Promote a strong customer service mindset through responsive, solution-oriented support, and expertise.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial reporting and analysis in direct support of senior or executive-level leadership.
  • 4+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in accounting.
  • Experience working in a large, decentralized organization.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,809 to $110,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
