Job DescriptionPrimary Function of Position:The Finance AI Engineer designs, builds, and deploys the AI agents, skills, and semantic views that Finance runs on. This is a hands-on engineering role that turns repeatable finance workflows into reusable AI agents on Snowflake Cortex and CoWork, so that finance users can query complex data in natural language and get accurate, trusted answers. The engineer owns technical delivery end-to-end, from first prototype to stable production, and is the quality gate before any output reaches a finance stakeholder.
This role sits at the intersection of AI, data, and finance. The engineer embeds closely with finance teams to understand their needs, translates those needs into working solutions, and guides adoption of what they build. Success depends as much on communication and stakeholder trust as on technical depth, since the professionals who rely on these tools think in terms of financial models and business outcomes, not technical details.

- Build skills that allow non-technical users to complete full finance workflows in a single prompt
- Create and own semantic views in YAML format that encode business context, financial metrics, and table relationships, enabling users to query complex data in plain English and get accurate answers
- Develop and maintain SQL pipelines that feed the semantic views with accurate, up-to-date finance data
- Run evals to measure the accuracy of the agents and refine the semantic views until outputs are reliable for finance users
- Embed closely with finance teams to understand their needs and guide adoption of what you build
- Own technical delivery from first prototype to stable production across multiple finance workloads

- Proven experience creating semantic views in YAML format that encode business context, financial metrics, and table relationships (Required)
- Firm grasp of LLMs and how context and prompt engineering influence model behavior and output quality
- Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex AI and data topics for non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working directly with finance stakeholders to understand their needs and turn them into working solutions
- Self-directed and able to take a loosely defined problem and drive it to completion with minimal oversight
- This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week
Required Education and Training- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or closely related quantitative field
