Full Job Description
Job Summary: The Finance Business Intelligence Visualization Lead role facilitates and supports enterprise reporting analytics data integrity dashboard creation forecasting and BI tool development for financial systems. This role creates and translates complex financial data into actionable insights to support strategic planning and decision-making and acts as the financial systems BI Product Owner.

Duties and Responsibilities: - Knowledge of BI tools, financial processes and systems

- Create and validate new metrics, reports and documents within the business intelligence solution.

- Manages data governance for the BI and Planning data platforms; coordinates with other Codes to ensure data integrity.

- Analyzes current and historical business trends and forecasts financials to highlight potential risks and opportunities.

- Develops end user-related documentation for BI (i.e. user acceptance test scenarios/scripts, test plans, design documents, instructional documents).

- Financial Systems BI Product Owner, responsible for maximizing the value of financial systems by managing the BI product backlog, defining the BI product vision, and ensuring alignment between stakeholders and the development teams.

- Incorporates feedback from users and stakeholders into the BI product backlog to guide future enhancements and prioritization.

- Participates in recurring BI product backlog and release management meetings on behalf of the finance team.

- Owns, prioritizes and manages financial system BI backlog of changes. Translates business requirements into backlog entries and specifications as applicable.

- Train customers and system end-users on BI processes/functionality, and train new BI system users.

- Satisfies data calls by extracting, formatting and delivering relevant data from finance systems.

- Assists in managing and ensuring data integrity within the Business Intelligence and Planning systems; partners with other codes to ensure guidelines are followed.

- Leads BI user acceptance testing of new features. Prioritizes new BI features, enhancements on behalf of the business.

- Reports and tracks all BI testing processes and software related issues

- Develops analytical and productivity enhancements utilizing the business intelligence tool to develop documents and reports

- Serve as a point-of-contact for functional areas and assists subject matter experts (SMEs) with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analysis of data flows for process improvement opportunities.

- Creates, documents, and manages project related testing efforts.

- Manages the development and communication of planning objectives, strategies, and timelines and provides support to end users.

- A strong acumen in Microsoft Excel workbooks to develop and generate spreadsheets as necessary for use in business analytics.

- Acts as a liaison between all partners and end users to ensure clear communication related to upgrade status to all stakeholders.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of general experience with administrative, analytical, technical, financial, or investigative work, demonstrating the ability to perform work involving business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, financial systems, enterprise applications, process improvement, or decision support activities.

OR

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for nine (9) months of experience, up to a maximum of a four-year bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field for three (3) years of general experience.

AND

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the following:
• Developing, maintaining, and supporting business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and data visualization solutions, including dashboards, reports, scorecards, metrics, and analytical tools used to support business operations and executive decision-making.
• Extracting, validating, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial and operational data from multiple systems and data sources to perform trend analysis, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance measurement.
• Utilizing business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, IBM Planning Analytics, Oracle Analytics, SAP Business Objects, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
• Gathering and translating business requirements into reporting specifications, dashboard designs, analytical solutions, enhancement requests, and business process improvements while collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize reporting needs.
• Supporting data governance, data quality, data integrity, and validation initiatives to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions.
• Developing and executing user acceptance testing (UAT), test plans, test scripts, validation procedures, and implementation support activities related to business intelligence solutions.
• Developing and maintaining documentation, training materials, user procedures, and knowledge resources related to reporting and analytics solutions.
