Full Job Description
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
• Conduct systematic field walkdowns at designated ExxonMobil facilities to physically verify installed assets, layouts, and flow paths against approved engineering documentation, including P&IDs, Plot Plans, Area Classification drawings, and Lease Flow Diagrams.
• Verify the physical presence, tagging, and representation of major equipment, instruments, control valves, and PSVs shown on P&IDs, and identify any missing, additional, or undocumented assets observed at site.
• Perform visual reasonableness checks of Plot Plans and Area Classification drawings to confirm inclusion of major equipment, correctness of tagging, and logical layout, spacing, and routing; no physical measurements shall be performed.
• Capture verified equipment metadata directly from permanent metal nameplates affixed to equipment to support accurate asset register and PSV data population.
• Document all discrepancies between approved documentation and actual installed field conditions using ExxonMobil approved red line / blue line markup practices on AutoCAD and/or PDF drawings.
• Perform field verification of Lease Flow Diagrams to confirm actual flow paths, major equipment connectivity, and routing logic, and capture all deviations through structured red line markups.
• Record supporting field information, including equipment identification details, configuration data, and clarification inputs required to enable accurate back office document updates.
• Capture photographic references of equipment, tag numbers, and nameplates, where permitted, to support traceability and downstream data validation.
• Coordinate with facility operators and designated ExxonMobil/Vendor representatives during site activities to obtain access, clarify queries, validate observations, and address specific walkdown information requests.
• Consolidate all field observations, red lined drawings, photographs, and captured data into structured deliverables to support as is documentation updates.
• Deliver populated Asset Register and PSV templates (Excel), red lined Plot Plans, Area Classification drawings, and Lease Flow Diagrams, along with a consolidated summary of tagging discrepancies, missing information, and resolution status. Asset register will include the nameplate data captured during the site verification. Reviewing the EM/vendor manuals, EDMS records or any open source information is considered as out of scope for this proposal.
