Position Summary

The Field Technology Engineer II is a highly capable individual contributor within the Field & Center Technology team, responsible for owning the deployment, optimization, and reliability of technology across Caliber Collision's 1,800+ center locations.

This role goes beyond execution to include end-to-end ownership of key technology domains-driving design input, standardization, and continuous improvement across endpoint platforms, unified communications, digital signage, and enterprise integrations. The Engineer II partners closely with senior engineers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions that directly impact center performance and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

Field Technology Ownership & Operations
  • Own lifecycle management, performance, and reliability of field technologies across assigned domains or regions
  • Lead deployment strategy and execution for large-scale rollouts, refresh initiatives, and upgrades
  • Act as escalation point for complex field issues and drive root cause resolution
  • Ensure consistency and standardization across all center deployments


Endpoint Engineering & Provisioning
  • Own management and optimization of Windows 10/11 environments across distributed locations
  • Drive endpoint lifecycle strategy including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning
  • Lead troubleshooting of advanced OS, application, and configuration issues


Systems Integration & Automation
  • Own and drive integrations between ITSM, ERP, and field technology platforms
  • Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve scalability
  • Lead testing, validation, and documentation of integration solutions
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve system interoperability


Digital Signage & Center Technology
  • Own performance, uptime, and standardization of digital signage platforms
  • Drive improvements in deployment methods, monitoring, and supportability
  • Act as escalation for complex center-level technology issues


Unified Communications & Collaboration
  • Own operational performance of collaboration technologies including Zoom phone, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and other UC platforms
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of advanced voice, video, and connectivity issues
  • Partner with architecture teams on improvements and future-state design


Monitoring, Reporting & Visibility
  • Define and enhance monitoring, alerting, and dashboard capabilities
  • Analyze trends to proactively address issues and improve system reliability
  • Drive visibility into field technology performance and KPIs


Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead documentation efforts, including SOPs, standards, and knowledge sharing
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across field technology operations
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, infrastructure, and vendor teams


Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in IT operations, field services, or systems engineering
  • Strong experience with Windows 10/11 in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing Windows Autopilot at scale
  • Experience supporting large, distributed environments (multi-site, high volume)
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (Ivanti preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
  • Strong Excel and/or data analysis skills
  • Proven ability to take ownership and drive outcomes independently


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading large-scale deployments or refresh programs
  • Strong experience with device lifecycle management at scale
  • Exposure to ERP systems and enterprise integrations
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
  • Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell preferred)
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms
