Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a methodical and skilled Field Support Software Engineer to provide critical software and data engineering support for the F-35 Autonomic Logistic Information System (ALIS) Supply Chain Management (SCM) application. In this role, you will act as a vital link between the Lockheed Martin customer and the BAE Systems software development team, ensuring that system performance is maintained, supported, and upgraded to meet global operational requirements.
Required Skills and EducationEducation: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field or its equivalent
Experience: 3-5 years' experience in Software Engineering or related engineering disciplines (i.e., field support engineering and/or military technical field experience)
Technical Proficiency:
- Proven experience in System Fault Finding.
- Proficiency in SQL, PowerShell, and Python.
- Experience in direct Customer Support.

Preferred Skills and EducationSystems Administration: Experience with Linux and Windows Administration.
Modern Architecture: Knowledge of Cloud Native Architectures and containerized application development and deployment.
Toolsets: Proficiency with the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence).
Methodologies: Experience with DevSecOps practices.
Additional Technical Skills: Knowledge of XML, Web Logic, Java, and Network Support.
Domain Knowledge: Experience supporting Enterprise Systems is highly beneficial.
