Field Supervisor - Flatwork and Roadway Grading

Title: Field Supervisor FLSA Status: Exempt

Wage: $100k-$115kDescriptionThe field supervisor is responsible to communicate instructions, set expectations and supervise the construction crews. They organize, plan, schedule, and delegate work, labor, and equipment.

Job Responsibilities• Supervise the specific scopes of work on construction projects including: the management of crews, subcontractors, and materials delivery.• Assist in the organization, planning, scheduling, and delegation of work, labor, and equipment.

• Communicate needs for: man-power, material quantities, and equipment.• Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts.• Supervise craft workers assigned to you.• Complete craft time cards to accurately reflect hours worked.• Coordinate clean-up after project completion.• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.• Maintain an insurable driving record.• Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and problem solve.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with crews, and customers.• Ability to perform manual labor and move at least 50 pounds.• Must be willing and able to travel to remote or distant locations.Education and Certificates• High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED) combined with a minimum of 5 year's construction experience required. Associates degree or some college education with construction experience preferred.• Previous supervisory experience preferred.Physical Requirements• Ability to move up to 100 lbs. repetitively.• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, climbing, and ongoing physical activity.• Regular exposure to outdoor elements.
