Field Superintendent • Jackson, WY

Job Summary

Supervises a segment of a field construction project in Jackson, WY, including its organization, planning, and scheduling, in order to complete the work on time, within budget, and to specified quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

As directed by the Project/Lead Superintendent and for a specific area of work:
  • Refine and implement site planning, logistics, and procedures for execution of the work
  • Execute the plan for survey and layout; verify the work of others
  • Monitor and communicate the CPM progress schedule for the portion of work, coordinating with the overall schedule
  • Monitor and enforce the comprehensive project safety & security program per company policy and applicable codes/regulations
  • Coordinate and schedule the work of subcontractors
  • Refine and implement the project's Shaw 1-2-3 Quality Control program, including prephase meetings, first-day inspections, scheduled inspections, third-party test/inspection coordination, and a master deficiency log
  • Maintain on-site copies of record documents (drawings, specifications, submittals, As-Builts)
  • Assist with submittal review and RFI process in coordination with PM/PE and Project Superintendent
  • Implement plans for jobsite housekeeping, temporary heat/enclosures, temporary power/lighting, material storage/handling/hoisting, and vertical movement (ladders, stairs, lifts)
  • Coordinate with the Project Superintendent on Shaw self-performed work, including labor/equipment planning, material inventory/control, budget, and code tracking
  • Document daily project performance: time cards, safety inspections/training/photographs, schedule updates, QA/QC inspections, subcontractor meeting minutes and deficiency notices, owner notices
  • Coordinate inspection agency activities, handle job labor relations, facilitate dispute resolution, manage owner acceptance of the work, and assist with project closeout
  • Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering desired, but not required
  • Experience in ground-up commercial, multifamily, and/or high-end custom residential construction highly desired
  • Experience using Procore and scheduling software (MS Project/P6) highly desired
  • Comfortable relocating to or working in the Jackson, WY / Teton County area

Compensation
  • Pay Type: Salary, Exempt
  • Pay Range: DOE (details provided upon interview)
  • Other Compensation: Performance-based bonus eligibility; housing/relocation assistance available for this mountain-market assignment
