Job Description

We are currently seeking a Field Specialist - Exhibition Station to join our Infrastructure team. The Field Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the construction of Exhibition Station and will have the opportunity to work on the Ontario Line (OL) Project-one of Toronto's most transformative transit initiatives. Join us in this full-time permanent role and be a champion of diversity and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee Parent Company (PCo) works at Exhibition Station as a Delivery Partner (DP) representative on site.
  • Lead and guide field specialists in quality, safety, and construction matters.
  • Facilitate and coordinate reviews of Work Plans, Risk Assessments, and Deviation Requests.
  • Ensure PCo plans comply with rail corridor access requirements.
  • Maintain high-quality daily records of site activities and observations.
  • Review construction-related deliverables and submittals, focusing on Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements in health, safety, environment, quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Report progress, identify risks, and escalate issues to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain trackers for Safety Work Plans, Risk Assessments, and access prerequisites.
  • Provide input to address non-conformances and mitigate risks.
  • Engage discipline leads for subject matter expertise and implement direction.
  • Validate progress reports and data against field observations.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or transit construction.
  • Experience in construction supervision or field engineering roles on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
  • Strong focus on safety.
  • Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Bluebeam; experience with AutoCAD and Navisworks is preferred.
  • Awareness of environmental compliance and industry quality standards.
  • On-project training provided post-mobilization to support Metrolinx role competency and Bantrel career development.

Base Annual Salary: $95,000 to $145,000 CAD per year (Bantrel provides a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the role. The figures shared represent base salary only and do not include other elements of the Total Rewards offering. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and alignment with the role requirements.)
