Job Overview

Hubbell's Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for a Field Service Project Manager. The Field Service Project Manager supports the successful planning, execution, and completion of Electrical Enclosure (EE) project handoffs to the customer. Partnering with project management, engineering, manufacturing, test, and quality you will aid in qualifying ship readiness of individual EE projects. Collaborating with the cross functional teams, the Field Service Project Coordinator will compile a complete and executable scope of work for the Field Service

A Day In The Life

  • Monitor the Field Service Requests inbox for new project request emails and add the request for Field Service support to the Field Service Scheduling and Loading tool.
  • Review Field Support project intake for required information, work with the requestor and other stakeholders to ensure the correct information is captured.
  • Hold an EE field support readiness kick-off meetings with the required stakeholders to close on any outstanding items prior to EE shipment.
  • Coordinate with the Field Service Scheduling supervisor to align on the date to begin the field work.
  • Provide a detailed Field Service Action Plan to the requestor outlining the plan to close the Field Service Request.
  • Provide status to the requestor on progress of the Field Service Request.
  • If issues are discovered in the field during the implementation of the Field Service Action Plan, ensure the Field Service Action Plan is revised to capture the problem statement and corrective action. Engage the proper stakeholders for alignment.
  • Track team and project performance metrics.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement solutions with input from others.
  • Support the Logistic Coordinators with their daily standard work or any other tasks assigned.

  • 5+ years of experience with project management (required)
  • Experience within SAP or other ERP business systems preferred
  • Strong comprehensive knowledge of business systems and applications, such as Microsoft Project or Project Server (required)
  • Strong knowledge of business processes across all functional areas is preferable with a good working knowledge of how Master Data is critical to effective business process execution
