Full Job Description
As a Field Service Technicianfor Getinge, in our Ventura, CA area service territory, your primary mission will be to provide maintenance and repair services at customer establishments, following manufacturer's instructions and utilizing knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment. Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting, repair and technical support services to customers within assigned service territory. • Provide preventative and other scheduled maintenance at customer establishments in accordance with established procedures and techniques using proper tools, test equipment and replacement parts. • Assist sales personnel in marketing all Getinge equipment (joint calls, in-services, sales leads). • Help maintain service contracts by focusing on high quality work and exceptional customer service and assist with the pursuit of contract renewals. • Comply with all health and safety codes and procedures as mandated by Getinge policies, customer requirements and regulatory agencies. • Establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and all Getinge personnel. • Serve as technical mentor and field-based training resources for Maintenance Technicians. • Maintain personal competence for meeting job responsibilities through effective use of product information and technical data provided by Getinge and others. • Accurately prepare and submit all required reports within required deadlines. • Meet or exceed all KPI requirements established for the position, region or division. • Maintain expenses and required inventory within guidelines and limits established by the Area Manager, Service. • Provide services to customers in accordance with the terms, conditions and responsibilities stated in Getinge's published warranty and maintenance contract policies. • Satisfactorily complete all training as required by Getinge training and certification processes, regulatory bodies, and quality systems. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements • Associate's degree in a technical discipline (Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, and/or technical discipline) or equivalent (i.e. military training program), or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 3+ years related experience in a field-based technical service role or technical maintenance/repair position, preferably in the medical/life science device industry. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Technically proficient in using schematics, checklists, system diagrams and associated tools to perform maintenance and repair of electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or plumbing systems. • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair highly technical mechanical and electronic systems. • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and electronic test equipment • Computer literacy; familiarity with information technology concepts, personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications. • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills in a customer facing work environment. • Demonstrated experience working independently, performing required tasks with minimum supervision. • Ability to follow documented procedures and protocol applicable to day-to-day job duties as well as regulatory requirements. • Able to work a flexible schedule when required based on customer requirements and accessibility protocols. • Must have a valid driver's license. • Ability to consistently comply with all customer required vendor credentialing processes and protocols. • Ability to work in close working quarters using both arms and legs for reaching, pulling, pushing, stooping, standing, climbing, lifting, turning, and/or kneeling. • Able to lift at least 75 lbs. The base salary for the position is a minimum of $41/hr and a maximum of $47/hr.
