Position SummaryThe Service Supervisor for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the daily management of the field technical staff. The Service Supervisor will have formal supervisory responsibilities for a defined team of Field Service Engineers and may be requested to support the district with limited service calls and preventative maintenance activities.
The supervisor models outstanding customer service through strong communication and collaboration skills, both internally and with customers. Core responsibilities include building a technically strong and cohesive team while maintaining a strong partnership with sales to retain existing business. The Service Supervisor effectively ensures the day-to-day operations of the field service team perform with accuracy and completeness in repairs, calibrations, instrument qualifications, and shipping and receiving activities.
This position is part of the Field Technical Service Team supporting the Great Lakes territory and will be fully remote, with candidates expected to reside in Western/Central Michigan.
You will be part of the Lakeshore Service Organization and report to the appropriate Field Service Leadership responsible for meeting and exceeding customer expectations while supporting sales and service growth.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate weekly team calls to review customer issues, KPIs, and general team announcements.
- Lead a team of Field Service Engineers, oversee their training and professional development, establish goals and objectives; lead the recruitment process to bring the right candidates to your team
- Work with the assigned team and coordination center to define the best strategies for our customers
- Drive a sense of urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly with an emphasis on "first-time fix", driving compliance and leveraging DBS (Danaher Business System) to map organizational improvements.

The essential requirements of the job include:- High School Diploma with 8+ years' relevant experience* OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience* OR Master's degree with 3+ years' relevant experience* OR equivalent military experience (working on any mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic or any related instruments)
- *"Relevant experience" is defined as diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, and/or electronic equipment.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:- This position requires up to 50% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- This position requires the ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:- Previous Beckman Coulter Field Service Engineer experience
- Supervisory management experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing medical laboratory instruments
- MS Office efficiency

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000.00-115,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
