Field Services Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Services Project Manager to lead the successful execution of customer projects within our services organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe, profitable, and on-time delivery while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

As the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee project performance, manage risks, and drive operational excellence from project initiation through closeout.

What Will You Do?

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Manage the execution of field services projects in accordance with company policies, processes, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineering, planning, procurement, technical support, and field service resources.
  • Conduct project handovers and review project scope, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks.
  • Establish project governance, milestones, resource plans, and communication strategies.
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings internally and with customers when required.
  • Ensure work orders and project activities are planned and scheduled appropriately.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure consistent communication and project updates.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Tendering, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Support, and Service teams.
  • Manage third-party vendors and partners involved in project delivery.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Own project profitability, including revenue, margin, cost control, cash flow, forecasting, and billing milestones.
  • Monitor project spending against budget and identify opportunities to improve gross margin.
  • Review contractual obligations and manage project changes, claims, and variation orders.
  • Support timely invoicing and collection activities to ensure healthy project cash flow.

Risk, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure the highest standards of safety throughout project execution.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address project issues.
  • Lead issue resolution activities and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with contractual, statutory, and company requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and project reviews.

Project Closeout

  • Ensure successful project completion, documentation, and formal project closure.
  • Archive project records and share key learnings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support forecasting and planning activities for upcoming projects.

What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Experience & Technical Knowledge
  • Experience managing customer-facing projects in field services, electrical systems, industrial automation, energy management, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage distribution solutions, UPS systems, cooling solutions, or similar technical offerings.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.

Skills

  • Effective planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • English proficiency is required for this position due to the need to regularly communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, customers, and teams located outside Quebec. Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

The expected pay range is CAD 75,200 - CAD 112,800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
