SLB is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused individual to join our Peace River, Alberta Artificial Lift team as a Field Service Manager. In this role, you will lead service, sales, and operational activities supporting oil and gas customers while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. You will oversee daily field and shop operations, manage financial performance, and provide leadership and direction to service personnel.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead service, sales, and operational activities to support customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily field and shop operations, ensuring efficient execution of service activities.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop field and shop personnel to support performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate service delivery and resource planning to meet customer timelines and operational demands.
  • Identify and address operational challenges while driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in service, sales, or operations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong experience with artificial lift systems, particularly Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) technology.
  • Solid understanding of PCP operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and field applications.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial performance, including P&L responsibility.
  • Experience with ERP or service management systems is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
