About the Role:
As a CBRE Field Service Manager, you will lead a team of 15 field technicians delivering fleet maintenance and field operations across multiple sites and several states. You will own your team's performance metrics, direct daily field execution, and drive the quality, safety and productivity of the maintenance work your technicians perform.
This role sits within the Integrated Fleet Services function, which focuses on the operations, maintenance and uptime of a distributed fleet asset base. You will provide support to program leadership on repairs, deployment and investment plans. This role requires travel up to 50% across your assigned markets.
What You will Do:
• Provide formal supervision to a team of 15 field technicians. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new technicians.
• Own your team's operational and financial metrics, including productivity, completion rates, quality and safety. Report performance to program leadership on a regular cadence.
• Schedule and manage the team's daily field activities across multiple sites and states. Establish work schedules, assign routes and tasks, and cross-train technicians. Set and track team and program deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
• Coordinate and manage fleet repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved field and maintenance issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets and variance reports.
• Perform field quality assurance inspections following local, state and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs and upgrade opportunities.
• Manage environmental health and safety procedures for field and fleet operations.
• Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services and labor for projects.
• Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs and safety best practices.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
• Apply knowledge of your own discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and program objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You will Need:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with three to five years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across multiple sites and states.
• Fleet or field service management experience preferred, including managing distributed or mobile field teams.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
• Leadership skills to motivate team impact on the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the discipline and program.
• Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions and other financial calculations
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Field Service Manager position is $115,000.00 annually [or $55.29 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Field Service Manager position is $120,000.00 annually [or $57.69 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
