Job DescriptionAs the Building Automation Engineer for the Region, you will be responsible for the design, engineering, configuration, implementation, commissioning and ongoing support/maintenance and upgrades of all Operational Technology (OT), Enterprise Applications and Connected Services delivered into the service Line of Business (LOB). This will also include ensuring to adhere to the centralization and standardization of OT, ICT and Cybersecurity implementation and services to promote, deliver and maintain more connected, operational critical solutions to our customers, ensuring alignment and consistency with global standards and guidelines.
The role will be required to drive alignment and standardization of the installation, upgrades and support maintenance of the OT, Enterprise Applications and Connected Services that regularly form part of Honeywell's solutions to ensure we can execute effectively for our customers, reduce our risk, cycle times, variation, and cost to deliver/service. This will also include working with peers to identify areas where we can streamline delivery by utilizing digital deployment tools and centralized deployment standards.
The Building Automation Engineer team will also be responsible for working in collaboration with the Regional and Pole ICT Engineering teams to ensure correct implementation of ICT and Cybersecurity products and services in line with the HBS Buildings global ICT and cybersecurity offering portfolio.

QualificationsMUST HAVEMinimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in the design, implementation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Enterprise Applications and/or Connected Services.
Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in building automation technologies and associated enterprise applications (HVAC/BMS, DVM/CCTV, Building Security, Energy Management, OBS).
Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience with TCP/IP/UDP networking, including VLANs and network segmentation, switching and routing fundamentals, default gateways and static routes, DHCP, DNS, NAT, firewalls and firewall rules, VPN/remote-access concepts, and network ports/services.
Minumum 1-3 years of hands on experience with troubleshooting to diagnose connectivity and communication problems between servers, controllers, workstations, field devices and third-party systems utilizing various diagnostics tools (ping, tracert/traceroute, ARP, nslookup, netstat, command-line or PowerShell tools, packet captures, and Wireshark or equivalent tools).
Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience of industry-standard communication and integration protocols, including BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC, SNMP, APIs and Web Services.
Minimum of 1-3 years of working knowledge of MS Windows and server OS environments, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting of applications and services.
College Diploma or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Automation, Controls, Electronics, Networking, Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
Valid Driver's License is required due to the travel requirements of this role, which includes visiting customers sites approximately 80% to 90% of the time.

- Knowledge of system monitoring, logging and diagnostic toolsets.
- Understanding of client/server architectures, databases, Web Services, third-party IoT technologies and enterprise application integration.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell is considered an asset.
- Excellent technical documentation and technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience organizing and directing work activities according to priorities and meeting deadlines involving multiple systems, projects, stakeholders and vendors.
- Proven track record in project engineering or technical delivery capacity involving the design, implementation and commissioning of technology-based projects, including Design and Construct projects.
- Ability to plan and schedule large or complex projects and to deliver against multiple concurrent objectives.
- Understanding Honeywell Building Technologies products and applications (BMS, Security, CCTV/DVM, EBI and related enterprise applications) is considered a strong asset.
- Willingness and ability to develop extensive product knowledge through formal training and hands-on/on-the-job experience with current Honeywell technologies.
- Ability to work cooperatively and provide technical guidance and direction in a team environment.
- Ability to identify technical solutions that address customers' operational and business needs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

The annual base salary range for this position is $98,000- $105,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
