ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to support the Client's customers across global deployment sites. This is a hands-on, field-facing role ideal for a journeyman-certified trades professional with experience in mission-critical data center environments, direct liquid cooling systems, hydronic systems, or HVAC/plumbing infrastructure.

Reporting to the Manager of Field Service Operations, you will be responsible for on-site installations, preventative and corrective maintenance, technical training, and remote support - serving as a subject matter expert on the Client's full product portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation & On-Site Support

Perform on-site and remote installations of the Client's direct liquid cooling (DLC) products at customer facilities worldwide.

Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on DLC systems, ensuring uptime and performance in mission-critical environments.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical schematics, and engineering drawings as required on-site.

Technical Support & Consultation

Provide expert technical support to Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) and end-user technicians, including those operating Tier 3 and Tier 4 data centers.

Offer plumbing and HVAC consultation to internal cross-functional teams including Lab Technicians, Engineers, Product Managers, Sales, and Production.

Troubleshoot and resolve field issues by following established service processes, coordinating with ASPs as needed.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

Develop and deliver technical training to customers, service technicians, and internal staff - both in-person and remotely.

Build and maintain deep subject matter expertise across the Client's product portfolio to support customers and colleagues with accurate, current knowledge.

Project & Service Coordination

Coordinate and dispatch field service visits with end-users and Authorized Service Providers.

Support the Project Engineering team by sourcing accurate quotations from ASPs.

Complete thorough service documentation including field reports, system testing records, and maintenance logs.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure all field activities comply with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment on every site, regardless of location or conditions.

Requirements

Required:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Field Service Engineer, field technician, or equivalent technical role with demonstrated understanding of project workflows.
  • Journeyman Certification in pipe trades (Plumbing, HVAC, Steam Fitting, or similar); solid expertise in hydronic systems strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Technical Cooling System Loops and various loop configurations.
  • Demonstrated experience in mission-critical environments (Tier 3/4 data centers or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with pipe materials and joining methods including plastic fusion, Victaulic piping, and associated clamping and torquing requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to document work to established standards.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Valid passport with eligibility for international travel and security clearance processes.
  • Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting (up to 150 lbs with a partner) and maintain a functional remote home office setup.
  • Availability to travel up to 65% of the time, including internationally (subject to applicable restrictions).

  • Mechanical and/or electrical background with familiarity in control systems integration and high-level programming logic.
