This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.

The Manager, Field Sales Training will lead the strategy, design, deployment, and continuous improvement of field sales learning programs that build capability, strengthen execution, and support delivery of regional and company business objectives. This role will manage and develop the Field Sales Training team, partner closely with Sales, Commercial, P&C, Talent Acquisition, Salesforce, and Trade Marketing stakeholders, and ensure training solutions are aligned to business priorities, field realities, and measurable performance outcomes. The Manager will create an environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, inclusion, credibility, and a commitment to exceptional performance.

Your 'day to day':

    • Lead the Field Sales Training strategy and roadmap, ensuring learning priorities are directly connected to commercial objectives, regional execution needs, and field sales performance expectations.
    • 5+ years of relevant learning and development experience, preferably in a field sales training environment
    • Manage, coach, and develop Field Sales Training team members, setting clear expectations, building facilitation capability, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
    • Partner with Sales leadership, Account teams, Retail teams, P&C, Talent Acquisition, Salesforce, and Trade Marketing to identify capability gaps and translate business priorities into targeted training interventions.
    • Oversee the design, development, and facilitation of field sales training content that reflects company culture, strengthens role-based capability, and supports consistent execution across regions.
    • Establish success metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, and use data, field feedback, and performance insights to continuously improve learning programs and coaching approaches.
    • Lead onboarding strategy and execution for new Field Sales hires, ensuring schedules, communications, learning resources, and stakeholder engagement are coordinated and effective.
    • Ensure Salesforce training, tools, processes, and field resources are clearly embedded into learning programs to support adoption, productivity, and execution consistency.
    • Oversee governance of the Field Sales Hub SharePoint site, ensuring materials, calendars, onboarding resources, and training assets remain current, accessible, and aligned to business needs.
    • Promote an inclusive learning environment by embedding company-wide diversity, equity, engagement, and recognition priorities into training curriculum and team practices.
    • Maintain strong understanding of consumer goods, convenience retail, field sales roles, and market dynamics to ensure training solutions are practical, relevant, and business-connected.
    • Anticipate and diagnose challenges facing Field Sales, equipping trainers and field leaders with tools, coaching approaches, and methods that positively impact productivity and execution.
    • Define program requirements, assess current practices, manage priorities, and ensure training initiatives are delivered with quality, consistency, and measurable impact.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Understands and effectively leverages tools and resources available to lead the function effectively:
    • Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
    • MSA Data, including standardized reports and ad hoc insights to customize customer information and opportunities
    • Salesforce, including MAFs, store lists, trade programs, campaigns, customer contact information, and authorized items
    • Communicates with impact and influence across field, headquarters, and cross-functional stakeholders.


Who we're looking for:

    • Experience leading training, learning and development, sales enablement, or field capability programs within a commercial or sales organization is desired.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop team members while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Strong facilitation, verbal communication, written communication, and executive presentation skills.
    • Ability to identify performance gaps, define learning priorities, establish success measures, and connect training outcomes to business impact.
    • Strong project management, stakeholder management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and digital learning or knowledge management platforms.
    • Salesforce experience preferred, with the ability to translate system processes into practical field training and adoption support.
    • Self-motivated leader who brings energy, credibility, sound judgment, and a positive orientation toward learning and development in service of business objectives.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
    • Prior people leadership or formal team management experience preferred.
    • Fully authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future


Annual Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
