Job Details:Job Description:As a Field Support Technologist at Altera, you will provide critical on-site technical support to our customers, ensuring optimal performance and resolution of complex issues related to our semiconductor products and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- This role is for North American and potentially expanded to world wide.
- Focus on customer applications work, such as design conversions, simulations, system architecture proposals, RTL designs, Benchmarking, POC creations
- Deep dive into various silicon interfaces, such as DSP, Memory controllers, PCIe/DMA, Serdes, and Networking
- Focus on various vertical segments, such as AI, Data center, Communications, Video, and others. The candidate needs to be familiar with 1 or 2 vertical segment
- Drive for design win by assisting sales on critical opportunities.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues on Altera products at customer sites.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers on product usage, maintenance, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, sales, and support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in a field support, applications engineering, or customer-facing technical role within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of FPGA architecture, design flows, and development tools (e.g., Quartus Prime).
- Strong design, RTL, and software background and experiences
- Proficiency in debugging complex hardware and software systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
- Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) is a plus.
