Job Description

The Field Sales Representative (FSR) will act as primary interface between the customer and TI resource base for a major account in order to achieve our goal of converting all our design wins to revenue. They will own the account operations activities and work with appropriate TI internal resources to support and build strong relationships with customers Global Supply Management and Supply Operations personnel. The FSR removes all potential barriers to achieving revenue goals while building and strengthening customer relationship to ensure TI remains the semiconductor vendor of choice for new designs, crosses and full share gains.

In this role, you'll drive and own business/operations/quality management for a major account with a focus on maximizing share, AVL penetration, growing net revenue, understanding build/ramp plans to ensure backlog coverage/continuity of supply. You will be the owner for the relationship with GSM -which includes all RFQ negotiations and driving share gains and share compliance. This role will also be responsible for working closely with Component Engineering to identify and drive second sourcing on the AVL as well as working with the NPI/Sustaining buyers on ramp/build plans and ensuring supply coverage. The FSR oversees the account commercial activities and works with appropriate TI internal resources to support major account. In addition, the FSR will remove all potential barriers to achieving revenue goals and will build and strengthen customer relationship to ensure TI remains a strategic partner

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Operating with a sense of urgency. We're searching for a strong team player and excellent negotiator who can perform well within a constant interruption driven, customer demanding environment where multi-tasking and time management skills are critical. Extensive knowledge/use of all Excel features/functions is required.
  • Work/communicate well with the customers global operations team, along with domestic and globally-located TI personnel. The ability to effectively negotiate with internal and external clients to influence decisions is a must. This person must be comfortable handling customer's expectations as is relates to responsiveness and build credibility at all levels within their organization.
  • Understanding key targets and being relentless in the pursuit is a necessity as we are continuously competing. The ability to intelligently use resources at hand (at the customer and internally) to gain commitments quickly is a must.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • 3 years of relative professional experience in a customer facing role


Preferred qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience that includes success in managing supply chain, GSM and component engineering personnel in a semiconductor sales support role working with large accounts with a worldwide footprint.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions, along with domestic and globally-located TI personnel
  • Ability to influence customers and internal decisions
  • Extensive knowledge/use of all Excel features/functions
  • Ability to handle customers' very high productivity/response time expectations
  • Ability to build credibility at all levels within the organization
  • Strong verbal, written communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
  • Global supply chain knowledge, database tools and/or SAP experience
  • Ability to build/drive relationships across a complex network
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
