Job SummaryThe Quality Inspector's main responsibility is to inspect, accept or reject work performed in a particular discipline in compliance with applicable Codes and specifications. Preferred discipline is mechanical or piping, however, structural, electrical, and civil may be considered.
Essential Functions- Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
- Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
- Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
- Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action.
- Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
- Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
- Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
- Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Qualifications- 3+ years' minimum experience in a specific craft or working under a formal Quality Management System.
- 3 years' mechanical and/or piping experience preferred.
- AWS CWI certification required.
- ACI certification preferred and other discipline specific inspection process (e.g. ASNT Level II, NACE etc.) may be considered.
- Should be familiar with ASME Sec. VIII, Sec. IX, B31.1, B31.3, API 650/653, 1104 Codes.
- Strong understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes and standards and their impact on project activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; good computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.
Hiring range: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
Full range for this position, available over time: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
