Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Project Manager to oversee the successful field execution of utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects. This role serves as the primary on-site leader responsible for coordinating construction activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality compliance, maintaining project schedules, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction professional with extensive experience managing large-scale EPC projects and leading multidisciplinary field teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
  • Lead field operations while ensuring compliance with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal project teams.
  • Conduct daily planning meetings and maintain effective communication with engineering, procurement, and corporate management.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule risks or construction challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and construction documents to ensure proper execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve field issues and implement design changes.
  • Manage field documentation including daily reports, progress updates, manpower reports, and production tracking.
  • Oversee quality control inspections and ensure work complies with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Support project forecasting by monitoring labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material availability.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities and support project turnover to the owner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, utilities, and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop field engineers, superintendents, and site personnel.


Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at $20M+.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, and cost controls.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors across large construction sites.
  • Working knowledge of contract administration and change order management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively to project sites nationwide.
