In this role, you will lead or support the end-to-end delivery of large, integrated laboratory service projects. This is a highly hands-on, field-based position requiring active engagement at customer laboratory sites across New England and the Mid-Atlantic States, as well as across North America. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and customers to ensure solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Success in this role comes from being deeply engaged in on-site execution, coordinating real-time project activities, and adapting quickly in fast-paced operational environments where priorities shift with field conditions and customer needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from early solution development through execution and closeout, supporting the delivery of complex, multi-vendor laboratory projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting solution design, scope development, and proposal activities
- Developing and maintaining project plans (scope, schedule, budget, resources)
- Coordinating with customers and stakeholders to align expectations and execution
- Leading on-site project execution, including vendor coordination and equipment-related activitie
- Monitoring progress, resolving issues in real time, and maintaining momentum across workstreams
- Delivering CrossLab solutions-including laboratory relocations, consulting, and 3D lab design-while leading meetings, driving progress, maintaining documentation, and building strong relationships across customers, internal teams, and third-party vendors
What We're Looking ForWe are seeking a candidate based in either Boston (MA), Philadelphia (PA) or Wilmington (DE) with a strong foundation in project management processes, tools, and best practices, complemented by hands-on experience delivering operational or facility-based projects in the field.
The ideal candidate thrives in environments where success depends on coordinating physical activities, vendor execution, and on-site decision-making. You are detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to lead meetings, provide clear updates, and maintain alignment across stakeholders. This role is best suited for individuals who enjoy being present where the work is happening and driving progress through direct engagement in project activities.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years in customer-facing field project management
• Experience applying project management methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working directly with external customers
• Experience with data tools/reporting systems
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (often 50%+) and spend sustained time on-site during critical project phases
Preferred Qualifications• PMP certification
• Experience in laboratory environments, instrument service, or equipment maintenance
• Familiarity with GMP and/or GLP environments
• Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience
• Experience managing budgets (quotes, POs, invoicing)
• Experience with third-party service providers
• Lean Six Sigma training or certification
• Proficiency in MS Office and tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Visio, SAP, or Maximo

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $116,800.00 - $195,275.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
