Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

The Project Engineer is responsible for the safe, high-quality execution of on-site service activities and planning for customer power generation equipment maintenance. This role serves as the technical authority in the field, representing the company at customer sites while performing installation, commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and outage support activities. The Professional Engineer interfaces closely with customers, project management, engineering, and internal support teams to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to contractual requirements.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Coordinate and consult on-site for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of power generation equipment, including generators, turbines, and auxiliaries.
  • Serve as the technical lead on-site, providing clear direction to technicians, craft labor, and subcontractors to ensure efficient operations.
  • Lead by example in EHS compliance, actively enforcing site safety rules, permit requirements, and conducting thorough risk assessments.
  • Conduct job safety analyses (JSAs), pre-job briefings, and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
  • Act as the primary technical representative to customers during on-site activities, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and technical findings effectively to customers and internal stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent field service expertise and technical experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of field service experience in mechanical maintenance of power generation, industrial equipment, or heavy rotating machinery.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently in challenging field environments.
  • Willing to travel 80% domestically and internationally, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This role will require working in the Orlando, FL office when not traveling to job sites.
