Build the Operating System Behind Our Houston Growth

Dynamic EcoHome is hiring an ambitious Industrial Engineer to help build a disciplined, efficient, and scalable field operation in Houston.

This is not a traditional desk-based engineering position. You will spend a significant portion of your time at job sites, with crews, and inside the daily operation. You will see problems firsthand, make decisions quickly, and turn engineering analysis into measurable improvements.

You will lead installers, electricians, technicians, and other field personnel while improving the systems connecting labor, materials, equipment, schedules, job sites, and customer commitments.

This opportunity is designed for an early-career engineer who wants significant ownership, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to grow faster than a traditional engineering path typically allows.

What Will The Field Operations Manager Own
  • Daily field performance across safety, quality, cost, schedule, and customer experience
  • Crew productivity, labor utilization, installation capacity, and project throughput
  • Houston field scheduling, workforce planning, and job-site sequencing
  • Standard operating procedures that support consistent execution as volume grows
  • Performance reporting, operational dashboards, and corrective-action plans
  • Accountability, coaching, and development of Houston field personnel
  • Identification and development of future crew leads and field leaders
  • Continuous improvement across labor, materials, scheduling, and installation workflows
What Will The Field Operations Manager Do
  • Lead daily installation and construction activities throughout the Houston market
  • Spend the majority of your time close to the operation, including regular job-site visits and field inspections
  • Set clear expectations and hold field teams accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance
  • Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, delays, rework, and wasted labor
  • Improve crew assignments, route planning, material flow, scheduling, and job-site sequencing
  • Build practical dashboards that track labor utilization, cycle time, throughput, quality, and cost
  • Redesign inefficient processes and test improvements directly in the field
  • Establish standardized procedures that improve consistency without slowing execution
  • Investigate recurring operational problems and lead root-cause analysis
  • Anticipate problems and take action before they affect customers or project timelines
  • Coach installers, electricians, technicians, and emerging field leaders
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, warehouse, customer service, and senior leadership
  • Present Houston's performance, constraints, priorities, and improvement plans to company leadership
  • Make confident decisions in changing conditions with limited oversight
The Field Operations Manager We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Zero to five years of professional experience - New Grads are encouraged to apply!
  • Strong preference for candidates with one to three years of experience in operations, construction, manufacturing, logistics, field services, or continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated leadership through competitive athletics, coaching, military service, student organizations, internships, entrepreneurship, or team-based competitions
  • A background in competitive athletics is preferred, especially when it demonstrates discipline, resilience, leadership, and a team-first mindset.
  • Evidence of taking ownership and delivering results beyond assigned responsibilities
  • Strong analytical ability combined with a willingness to make decisions and act
  • Comfortable leading experienced field employees and holding others accountable
  • Willingness to work at job sites and adapt to changing field conditions
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Houston market
The Leadership Profile That Thrives Here

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Are assertive, competitive, energetic, and highly motivated by results
  • Want decision-making authority and responsibility for outcomes
  • Naturally take control when expectations, systems, or priorities are unclear
  • Move quickly from identifying a problem to implementing a solution
  • Communicate directly and confidently with different personalities
  • Challenge established processes when a better approach is available
  • Hold yourself and others to high standards
  • Use data to make decisions without becoming stuck in analysis
  • Stay composed when schedules, priorities, or field conditions change
  • Want to build a team and an operation, not simply maintain one
  • Prefer being close to the work instead of managing entirely from behind a desk
Preferred Qualifications For The Field Operations Manager
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, capacity planning, or quality management
  • Experience in analyzing labor utilization, throughput, cycle time, scheduling, or operational cost
  • Familiarity with construction operations, field services, manufacturing, logistics, or installation environments
  • OSHA 30, Lean Six Sigma, CM-Lean, or comparable certification
  • Experience creating dashboards, performance reports, or operational scorecards
  • Leadership experience within a competitive team environment
What Success Looks Like For The Field Operations Manager

During your first 90 days, you will be expected to:

  • Earn credibility with Houston's installers, electricians, technicians, and project leaders
  • Develop a working understanding of our products, installation processes, and field standards
  • Establish baseline measurements for safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization, and cycle time
  • Identify the constraints having the greatest effect on Houston's capacity and performance
  • Introduce consistent field communication and performance-management routines
  • Implement initial process improvements that produce visible results
  • Identify high-potential employees who can develop into future field leaders
  • Present a practical plan for improving and scaling Houston field operations

If you are an ambitious Industrial Engineer who wants ownership, visibility, field leadership, and the opportunity to build something meaningful, we want to hear from you.
