DescriptionThis position is responsible for leading the field planning teams who oversee all scheduled maintenance requirements while optimizing and balancing station resources within their assigned region. This role also requires a technology-based mindset able to design, test and implement new software platforms to the line planning teams. Requires a creative and strategic individual who will harmonize and lead our collaborative culture. The ideal candidate will require the leadership skills necessary to make sound business decisions, identify and implement process improvement opportunities and mentor employees to perform at their highest level. This leadership position also requires effective communication skills ensuring all facets of workload are adequately coordinated with local maintenance teams. - Leads the Field Planning team in reviewing, scheduling, coordinating and effectively communicating scheduled maintenance activities
- Lead daily workload meetings with station leadership
- Liaison with Digital Technology, Supply Chain, Method and Standards, Records, Maintenance programs, Quality Control, Engineering and Operations
- Subject matter expert and designated station trainer on maintenance related technology platforms
- Develops and fosters strong cross-divisional relationships while maintaining an open line of communication with the various planning teams, maintenance stations, maintenance control, Routing and other Tech Ops and NOC teams
- Manage administrative duties of the assigned Field Planning team including team scheduling, vacation, holiday, and sick coverage
- Mentor, develop and train field planning team skills and knowledge
- Monitor performance to goals and implement actions to address gaps
- Ensure team complies with Planning SOPs
- Ensures workability and compliance of regulatory documents surrounding engineering projects, new maintenance program tasks and fleet campaign directives
- Coordinates pilot projects involving man-hour and span time estimates on new and existing line maintenance tasks
QualificationsWhat's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- High school diploma or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent Aviation/Aerospace field experience
- 5 years of commercial aircraft or military aircraft maintenance experience
- Aircraft systems
- Aircraft maintenance programs
- Aircraft maintenance information systems
- Autonomous proactive self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willing and able to work any shift in 24/7 operation including on weekends and holidays.

- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
