Job Details

The Field HR Manager role provides strategic and executional HR support to our frontline teams within our distribution centers. This role focuses on developing robust partnerships with the business, driving change management, and implementing talent and culture strategies that align with enterprise objectives and frameworks set by the Center of Excellence (COE). The Field HR Manager will oversee succession planning, talent analytics, talent reviews, culture strategy, and development goals for designated sites and/or teams. Additionally, this role will support local labor strategies, drive positive team member relations, and handle employee relations (ER) escalations in collaboration with HR Shared Services (HRSS).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive HR support to frontline teams, fostering strong partnerships with business leaders and managers to drive organizational success
  • Lead change management initiatives and implement talent and culture strategies that support frontline operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies and guidelines set by the COE.
  • Supports succession planning, talent analytics, talent reviews, and development goals for designated sites and/or teams. Work closely with business leaders to identify and develop high-potential talent.
  • In partnership with Operations Leadership, develop and execute culture strategies that promote a positive and inclusive workplace environment. Facilitate initiatives that enhance employee engagement and drive retention.
  • Support local labor strategies and administration. Drive positive team member relations and handle ER escalations in partnership with HRSS.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs to execute and deliver HR decisions and activities to frontline operations, ensuring seamless integration and support.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Support career development initiatives.
  • Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Partners with frontline leaders to assess and develop action plans as needed.
  • Applies the understanding of compensation principles, concepts and standards. Plays a role in coaching and guiding frontline leaders with compensation planning.
  • Travel 25%, plus more as needed, is required for adequate field/operations support.


Education and Work Experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years Human Resources experience with demonstrated change management and employee relations experience.
  • Bachelor's and/or a Master's degree in an appropriate field such as human resources, business administration or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a Human Resources Generalist role with history of effectively resolving employee relation issues and a strong understanding of the processes and cycles of client support.
  • Demonstrated expertise in effective interpersonal skills including interviewing, counseling, and group presentations.


Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to influence at varying levels across the organization and work effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a highly matrixed environment, finding the correct balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization.
  • Working knowledge of government laws, regulations, and legal decisions affecting employment.
  • Able to be agile and courageous while maintaining a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Able to effectively collaborate with all HR COEs and business units.
  • Excellent problem solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
