MMR Field Engineer - based in Shreveport, LA

Location: Shreveport, LA
Pay: $45/hour
Per Diem: $750/week

Work Schedule: 6/10s

Job Description:

MMR is seeking Field Engineer candidates to support field installation activities by conducting walkdowns, verifying layouts, resolving constructability issues, assisting with inspections, maintaining as-built documentation, and providing accurate progress and quantity tracking to field supervision. The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Relay RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors.
  • Perform layout verification and field walkdowns inclusive of site surveying.
  • Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation.
  • Support quality inspections and testing by providing list of completed tag items for quality
  • inspections.
  • Maintain as-built documentation.
  • Review daily installation progress and quantity reports generated by foreman.
  • Coordinate directly with foremen and supervisors.
  • Perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate client reporting.
  • Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports
  • impacting productivity.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS in Construction Management or related field
  • Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
  • Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work
