Responsibilities- Analyze project specifications and maps to be sure the project conforms to engineering requirements.
- Provide oversight and project support for production, safety, quality, and project management standards.
- Analyze and consider government regulations and environmental risks during planning phases of each cured-in-place pipe project.
- Responsible for pre-bid site surveys, contract execution/project start-up, and closeout.
- Compile and submit local, state, and federal agency permits for cured-in-place pipe projects.
- Review and select necessary vendors and subcontractors for cured-in-place pipe projects.
- Work with field crews and subcontractors to track and manage project costs, meet expected production rates, and gross profit margins.
- Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and project status meetings with our customers.
- Prepare, submit, and track submittals, RFIs, and RFI's & Change Orders.
- Prepare Performance Metric reports with the analysis of monthly labor hours against forecast and subcontractor analysis (schedule of values) for all projects.
- Update project management system daily with actual job costs and cost commitments to accurately reflect the financial performance of the projects.
- Ensure that safe work practices are followed on all construction sites.
- Use Smartsheet software to assist with scheduling and tracking jobs.
- Analyze and prepare scopes of work and assist with awarding of Subcontracts.
- Handle material procurement for specialized cured-in-place projects.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management with 2+ years of related field construction management experience, or 5+ years of field construction experience managing an annual project portfolio of $1MM or more.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of the basic principles in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in water/sewer or municipal environment is strongly preferred.
- Must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
- Primavera and JD Edwards software experience preferred but not required.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction required.
- Must be able to travel as needed (approximately 10%)
