The Field Application Scientist within the Genedata Screener® business unit is responsible for providing scientific expertise and technical support for our customers. You will investigate customer workflows and IT infrastructures to understand their needs, design solutions, and manage projects to deliver these solutions. You will also support our sales team with product expertise, scientific presentations, and software demonstrations.
This position reports to a Screener Manager and is part of the Screener Business Unit located in Lexington, MA and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide software demonstrations, training, and technical support
- Identify customer needs and map them to the capabilities of Genedata Screener
- Deliver scientific consulting and professional services for customer projects
- Act as interface between our internal teams and customer’s cross-functional partners including scientific and IT partners
- Propose, plan, execute, and manage internal and external projects, such as scientific consulting, software implementation, and requirements analysis projects
The essential requirements of the job include:
- An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.Sc.) in a life science field that is relevant to the biotech and biopharma industry
- Experience with assay data analysis, preferably in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment
- Effective communication skills combined with the ability to work confidently across a range of functions—from IT to scientific stakeholders—at all levels of seniority
- Proven success in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and in cross-functional team environments
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Up to 20% travel is required within North America and occasional travel to Europe.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with a scripting language (ideally Python) and basic familiarity with UNIX shell environment.
- Experience from industry or academia within a drug discovery or drug development setting.

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
